Callbreak Quick — About the Game

Callbreak is a familiar card game in Bangladesh, played for many years from homes in Dhaka to villages across the country. JILI's Callbreak Quick brings that same well-known game online with a slight twist. Compared to standard Callbreak, each round here ends faster, so you can play more games in less time.

A full game requires four players. A 52-card deck is used and spades (♠) are always the trump suit. Each player bids before the game — declaring how many hands they expect to win. Meeting that bid adds points to your score; failing to meet it deducts points.

Rules of a Round

Before the game starts, each player is dealt 13 cards. Every player must then place a bid — the minimum bid is 2. Once bids are placed the game begins, and the first hand is led by whoever won the previous round or, at the start of the game, by a randomly selected player.

  • If you hold a card of the same suit as the lead card, you must follow suit. If you don't, you may play any card.
  • Spades (trump) are the strongest suit. No card of any other suit can beat a spade.
  • The highest card wins each hand — within the same suit: Ace > King > Queen > Jack > 10 … 2.
  • After all 13 hands are played, the round is complete. Meeting your bid earns you points equal to the bid; winning fewer hands deducts that amount from your score.
  • After the set number of rounds (usually 5), the player with the highest score wins the game.

Bids and Points Explained

Say you bid 4 but win only 3 hands — 4 points will be deducted from your score.

If you bid 3 and win 5 hands — 3 points are added, and you earn 0.1 points for each of the 2 extra wins.

Keeping your bids accurate is the key to winning in Callbreak Quick — bidding too high increases risk, while bidding too low reduces your points.

Card Strength and Hand Rankings

Callbreak Quick does not have hand combinations like poker or baccarat. Here, a card's strength depends on its suit and rank. The order is laid out clearly below.

# Card Type Priority Special Note
1 Spade Ace (♠A) Highest Beats any card
2 Other Spades (♠K, ♠Q…) Very strong Remaining cards of the trump suit
3 Ace of the lead suit Strong Highest when no trump is played
4 High cards of the lead suit Medium King > Queen > Jack > 10…
5 Off-suit (non-trump) Weakest A card played outside the lead suit cannot win

When should you use trump?

You get the chance to play trump when you have no cards of the lead suit. However, it is not always wise to do so — holding trump back makes it easier to meet your bid in later hands.

Against the Dealer or Against Other Players?

Callbreak Quick is essentially a multiplayer game — you are not playing against a computer dealer but competing against three other players. It is not like poker or blackjack where the dealer is one side; here, every player is a competitor.

Because of this, playing Callbreak Quick calls not just for card knowledge but also for reading the table. By watching other players' bids you can get a sense of what kind of cards they hold.

In addition to multiplayer card games like this one, live dealer tables are also available in the 4 crickex Casino section.

Useful Tips for Beginners

If you're sitting down to play Callbreak Quick for the first time, keep these tips in mind — you'll notice the difference quickly.

01

Count your cards before bidding

Count how many spades and high-ranking cards you hold before setting your bid. Bidding on guesswork increases the risk of losing points.

02

Save your trumps

Avoiding trump play in the first few hands makes it easier to win tough hands toward the end.

03

Watch your opponents' bids

If the three other players' combined bids total 13 or more, at least one of them is bound to miss their bid — use that to your advantage.

04

Play small cards at the right time

Rather than holding onto weak cards, play them strategically so you can take the lead in later hands.

Which variant is right for you?

If you're playing Callbreak online for the first time, the standard format is the better choice. It gives you time to think and make decisions based on your cards.

Quick mode runs a timer, so every decision must be made fast. Some players make bidding mistakes under that pressure, so practise in standard mode first.

Good Player Conduct

  • When it's your turn, decide quickly — the other three players are waiting for you.
  • Avoid making negative comments in chat when you lose — keep the atmosphere enjoyable for everyone.
  • Don't play for long stretches without a break. Take a break after 45–60 minutes and return with a fresh mind.
  • Set a budget for yourself before each session. Staying within that limit is what responsible play looks like.
  • If you keep losing, end the session — chasing losses only increases the risk of losing more.

Questions and Answers

Yes, the core rules are the same — four players, 52 cards, spades as trump, and the goal of winning hands through bidding. The difference is that Quick mode has a timer for each hand, so the familiar game is played at a faster pace.

In Callbreak Quick the minimum bid is generally 2. That means you must declare that you will win at least 2 hands. No matter how weak your cards are, bidding 1 is not an option.

In Quick mode, if you don't play a card within the allotted time, the system automatically selects one for you. It may not always be the best card, so making decisions on time is important.

Points vary depending on the bid amount. Bidding higher and succeeding earns more points, but failing costs more points as well. Missing your bid deducts points equal to the bid, and each extra hand won beyond the bid adds 0.1 points.

Both play a part. Cards are dealt randomly, so luck does have a role. However, setting the right bid, deciding when to use trump, and reading your opponents' cards are entirely matters of strategy. Over the long run, strategic players tend to produce better overall results.
